La Push - Beach 1

The beaches at the national parks are not cleaned of the wood that stacks up. It keeps them natural, which is good, but you have to negotiate the logs to get to the beaches.

It makes it lovely...

These are not small loges.

They are stacked above the water line...

This beach was all small stones...

This beach is known for its rock abutments.

That are so so beautiful.

Some times when the waves wash up on the shore the stones are popped out of the water and click as the water spins them over.

I tried to photograph it... but I don't think you can see the flying stones...

Even though I tried numerous times.

It was so beautiful...

The rock abutments in the mist of sea spray and rain...

Taken from the distance... I walked almost all the way down here, but still could not get a clear shot...

See Matt has his hood up because of the rain... It was misting or drizzling quite a bit this day.
