Flaming Gorge

The view going up the mountain from the town we stayed in...

Flaming George during the day...

Matt at the rim...

It was beautiful, but in the sun the red stone was not so bright from these views as the night before...

This isn't a great picture of me... must be the sweat shirt making me look heavy, but the view was great!

They talked about fissures happening into the rocks and water getting down them when the water freezes it separates the rock.... and eventually causing cliff faces to break off.

There were so many beautiful things to photograph... one didn't know where to start.

See...

and the bushes were flowering every where...

They build the wall around the branch... and then it died...

Pine-cones strung along the path...

A photograph from the visitors center...

There was something special about this rock formation... Oh I remember, it is a petrified sand dune... I loved the shape of them...

These are photos from the night before... it was beautiful as it was getting dark...

Rocks at the north end of the gorge.
